The fifth edition of the forum in 2025 brought together over 5,500 participants, 350 speakers from 32 countries, 40 panel discussions, and more than 60 partner companies, establishing the forum as a leading platform for visions, policies, and innovations in the context of the green transition.

The presence of three European Commissioners, ministers from Bulgaria and Southeast Europe, and leading experts and visionaries such as Enrico Letta and Prof. Daron Acemoglu created a unique setting for strategic dialogue between institutions, business, and academia. Key topics included the future of industry, the single market, and Europe’s role in the global race for sustainable development.

The forum gained strong international visibility, with over 500 media publications across 120 media outlets, reaching more than 7 million people. The Green Transition Forum has become a space for exchanging ideas, building partnerships, and formulating solutions that shape Europe’s direction. Sofia took center stage in the discussions on competitiveness, innovation, and social sustainability — sending a clear message about the region’s active role in Europe’s green future.
